Citrix Wins 2008 Microsoft Partner of the Year for Global ISV - Infrastructure, and Wins 2008 Microsoft Partner Award for Citizenship


Citrix took home the ISV Partner of the Year Award, for the company's superior technology and delivering innovative infrastructure solutions based on Microsoft platforms (read the press release.)

Citrix and Microsoft enjoy a long-standing partnership with Citrix XenApp™ running on the Microsoft Windows Server Terminal Services platform; and Citrix has expanded technical and business synergies with Microsoft over the years. Today, the two companies are working together closely to extend this relationship to new Microsoft platforms such as Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V, bringing customers added value in server virtualization solutions with Citrix XenServer™, application virtualization solutions with Citrix XenApp and desktop virtualization solutions with Citrix XenDesktop™.

In May 2008, Citrix and Microsoft introduced the immediate availability Citrix Branch Repeater™, an innovative new line of jointly-developed branch office appliances that combine Windows branch services with innovative application delivery technology from Citrix (Read the Branch Repeater press release.) By staging the delivery of applications and Windows services closer to branch office users, Citrix Branch Repeater helps make branch office computing faster and more cost-effective for companies of all sizes.

Citrix was also honored by Microsoft with their Partner Award for Citizenship for bringing IT and related skills to Ghana, Africa. Working with the Kofi Annan Information and Communications Technology Center for Excellence, Citrix trained the next generation of faculty and systems engineers capable of building and operating the latest and most cost-effective ICT access infrastructure in Agogo, Ghana.
